SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): India-based steelmaker Tata Steel has reinforced its commitment towards a sustainable future. The company observed the World Environment Day across its operating facilities. Furthermore, it has decided to celebrate the current month as Sustainability month.
Commenting on the company’s sustainability commitment, Sanjiv Paul, Vice President-Safety, Health and Sustainability, Tata Steel noted that the Sustainability month is dedicated to create awareness among its employees as well as local communities, as the company believes in impactful outcomes from collaborative efforts. The company is committed to restore today for a better tomorrow, through a slew of activities during the coming weeks, Paul added.

Tata Steel Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) for the fourth phase of The Green School Project. Initially launched in 2017, the project has inspired thousands of students to join the cause of protecting the environment over the previous years.
In addition, the company hosted a plenary webinar for its employees, initiated a digital activation campaign inviting community participation for ecosystem restoration and released a digital film to spread the message about the need for safe homes.
