SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Tata Steel declared production and delivery volumes for the third quarter in FY24.
According to company press release, the India crude steel production totalled 5.32 million tons, higher by 6% when matched with the prior quarter as well as the same quarter a year before. The crude steel production during the nine-month period in FY24 registered a year-on-year increase by 4%.

The deliveries stood at 4.88 million tons, registering the best-ever Q3 sales in history. The rise in domestic deliveries were up by 3% from the prior quarter and by 10% from the year before. The company recorded biggest ever deliveries during the nine-month period, said the company press release.
The deliveries from ‘Automotive & Special Products’ segment increased 8% over the quarter and by 22% over the year. The ‘Branded Products & Retail’ segment deliveries remained more or less steady over the quarter, but were up by 11% year-on-year. Meantime, ‘Industrial Products & Projects’ segment deliveries increased by around 5% quarter-on-quarter and by 6% year-on-year.
Tata Steel Netherlands liquid steel production for the quarter stood at 1.17 million tons, while deliveries totalled 1.29 million tons. The liquid steel production and deliveries by Tata Steel UK totalled 0.73 million tons and 0.63 million tons respectively.
