SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Smurfit Kappa- Europe’s leading corrugated packaging company announced launch of a new, sustainable recyclable film. The film will replace the nylon used in bag-in-box products, most commonly in the U.S.
Currently, bag-in-box packaging which requires extra protection, such as those for packaging motor oil or detergents or large industrial-use food bags, use nylon bags. Nylon is also the preferred choice of material when it comes to particularly long or complex supply chain. The Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box film will be a sustainable alternative for all such nylon bags, said the company press release.
