SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Smurfit Kappa has partnered with KHS-an international manufacturer of filling and packaging systems for the beverage and liquid food sectors, to launch a new multipack product for bundling canned beverages.
According to company press release, the new environmentally friendly packaging solution TopClip replaces the need for shrink wrap, thus substituting plastic with sustainably sourced paper-based packaging. It is 100% plastic-free and allows for greater ease to remove or pull apart the cans. TopClip offers full covering of the top of can multipacks, thus offering protection from contamination and providing excellent handling and branding opportunities.
