November 26, 2024: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Displayed Mixed Trend on the Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices recorded mixed trend on the ScrapMonster Price Index  as of Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Copper, Brass/Bronze and Aluminum scrap prices recorded decline over the previous day. Stainless Steel scrap prices edged higher on the Index. In contrast, Steel scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices dipped by CNY 400 per MT over the previous day.

#1 Copper Wire and Tubing too saw price decline of CNY 400 per MT.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also decreased by CNY 400 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices recorded decline by CNY 200 per MT on the Index. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were down by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices were unchanged over the prior day’s prices.

Cu/Al Radiator prices were down by CNY 100 per MT on the Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were flat as of Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

Heater Cores prices declined by CNY 100 per MT.

In the meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices held steady on the Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a decline of CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were down by CNY 50 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers recorded no variation on the Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices were down by CNY 50 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices also declined by CNY 50 per MT each as of November 26, 2024.

The prices UBC and Zorba 90% INF were flat when compared with the previous day’s price.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady as of Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were unchanged on the Index.

304 SS Solid prices also held steady over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning recorded no variation.

309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices inched higher by CNY 50 per MT each when compared with the prior day’s price.

310 SS scrap prices were up by CNY 100 per MT as of November 26, 2024.

Shred SS prices were flat over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded nominal decline on the Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were flat as of November 26, 2024.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices witnessed a decline of CNY 50 per MT each.
