Novelis and Ball Corporation Increased Recycled Content of Ball Aluminum Cup

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Novelis Inc. and Ball Corporation announced that the Ball Aluminum Cup is now comprised of 90% recycled content. The highly sustainable and infinitely recyclable cup now has the highest recycling content rate among beverage packaging in the same category. The 90% recycled content will significantly reduce the carbon footprint.

The lightweight cups manufactured at the Rome, Georgia facility is currently being used by Ball customers. The cups have helped to drive sustainability at sports and entertainment venues across the country. For instance, the cups have helped Ball Arena in Denver to eliminate more than 35,000 single-use plastic cups and bottles. Moreover, the Arena hopes to eliminate more than 1 million single-use plastic cups and bottles before the end of the current year.
