Clear household clutter and protect our planet by properly disposing of household hazardous waste at the new Johnson County Household Waste Collection and Reuse Facility located at 11231 Mastin St. in Overland Park. Operating from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the facility allows for the safe disposal of unwanted paint, household chemicals, yard waste and more.

In addition to hazardous waste drop-off, paint will also be available for purchase through the re-blended paint program. Recycle rechargeable batteries at Overland Park’s recycling center, or dispose of alkaline batteries with normal household waste. Many local hardware and auto parts stores accept small quantities of batteries for recycling.
