M&J Recycling Appoints New CEO

SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): M&J Recycling’s Board of Directors has appointed René Normann Christensen as the company’s new CEO. With this appointment M&J Recycling is preparing for the next phase of growth. New CEO, René Normann Christensen has long leadership experience and has among others been CEO of Kohberg Bakery Group A/S and prior to this been CEO of Glunz & Jensen A/S and Plus Pack A/S. He assumes his position at M&J Recycling immediately.

“After a successful carve out from Metso in 2021, M&J Recycling has now reached a point on the growth journey where it is necessary to change focus and increase momentum.There is a significant global potential for M&J’s industrial waste shredders, and I am confident that René Normann Christensen will, as the new CEO, strengthen the organization and take M&J Recycling to the next level”, said Carsten Knudsen, Chairman of the Board.

Revenue growth has been strong during M&J Recycling’s first two years as a stand-alone company while simultaneously a new independent organisation has been established. “Uffe Hansen, has done a tremendous job as CEO during and after the carve-out process building a new resilient organization ready for further growth, and I would like to thank Uffe for all his efforts”, Carsten Knudsen concluded.

René Normann Christensen has already started in his new role at M&J Recycling’s headquarters in Horsens and he is looking forward to spending the next couple of weeks getting to know his customers and new colleagues. “I am both proud and delighted to join M&J Recycling – a company with a great purpose and a fantastic growth potential – and I look forward to meeting both employees, customers and business partners very soon”, said René Normann Christensen, CEO M&J Recycling.
