As per reports, the company is moving its corporate offices to the DuPont Office Center at 9910 Dupont Circle Dr. East in Suite 200 off Dupont Road in Fort Wayne. The new office space will focus on hosting corporate activities and commercial staff offices. Nearly 50 people have already moved into their new offices, it said. It must be noted that the company has a scrap metal recycling facility in Fort Wayne, which is located on West Coliseum Blvd.
The acquisition deal was first announced in November this year. BlueScope Steel agreed to pay a sum of $240 million in return for two recycling facilities of MetalX located in Indiana and Ohio. The acquired facilities are adjacent to BlueScope’s North Star facility. It must be noted that MetalX had accounted for supply of nearly one-fifth of total scrap consumed by North Star steelmaking facility.
MetalX considers Fort Wayne as a better option for its new headquarters, mainly considering its nonferrous growth strategy.
