Los Angeles County Filed Lawsuit against Coca-Cola and PepsiCo

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Coca-Cola and PepsiCo, two of the biggest bottling corporations, are being sued by Los Angeles County for allegedly encouraging a circular economy despite the fact that their plastic bottles are mostly unrecyclable after only one use.

According to the lawsuit, these two businesses' actions seriously damage the ecosystem. It challenged them to cease lying and accept accountability for the plastic pollution their plastic bottles are causing. According to statistics, PepsiCo and Coca-Cola are two of the biggest plastic pollutants in the world.

The businesses are urged to cease their misleading marketing in the County lawsuit. It urges that such businesses be subject to fines, which will serve as a deterrent to such unethical business activities and assist shield the environment and people from further harm.

It demands greater accountability as well as structural adjustments, such as a decrease in the use of single-use plastics and a move toward more environmentally friendly substitutes. Customers must favor goods from businesses that are more dedicated to sustainability.
