SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): David Robbie has been appointed to the board of directors of International Paper (IP), a corporation based in Memphis, Tennessee. Additionally, he has been named to the committees of Audit, Finance, Public Policy, and Environment. This means that there are currently 11 directors on the IP board, 10 of whom are independent.
Since 2019, Mr. Robbie has been a member of the DS Smith Board of Directors. It should be mentioned that IP purchased DS Smith in January of this year in order to establish a global leader in environmentally friendly packaging solutions.

In addition to chairing and participating in the DS Smith audit, nomination, and compensation committees, he has been a senior independent director since 2022. He also chairs the audit committee and serves as a non-executive director of easyJet plc, a well-known airline firm. Additionally, he is on the Board of Trustees at Britten Pears Arts, a Suffolk Coast, England-based charity that promotes music, the arts, and heritage.
Mr. Robbie is a certified chartered accountant with KPMG and has an MA in English literature from St. Andrew's University.
Andy Silvernail, the CEO and chairman of International Paper, welcomed David to the board. According to him, David's extensive understanding of DS Smith, global corporate expertise, and solid financial background will assist the business increase profitability and optimize earnings.
