SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Green Bay, WI-headquartered Green Bay Packaging (GBP) announced expansion of its Great Lakes Packaging Division in Germantown, Wisconsin, thereby fulfilling its growth objectives. The groundbreaking ceremony was held at the new location on July 9, 2024. The operations at the new facility are expected to commence in the fall of 2025.
The 270,000 square feet state-of-the-art facility features cutting-edge equipment, including a 6-color plus 1-color inside RDC, a litho laminator, and a specialty folder gluer. These modern features will help the company enhance the existing capabilities and improve operational efficiencies at the facility.
Currently, the Great Lakes Packaging Division employs over 80 people at its existing locations. The new facility will not only help in retention of the existing workforce, but will also create as many as 20 additional jobs. The project will be designed and executed by Briohn Building Corporation.
Commenting on the development, Dave Mally, Vice President of Operations said that the new Germantown facility will focus on safe, efficient operation and business growth. Also, it will expand GBP’s capabilities, thus continuing to meet and exceed customer expectations, he added.
