It is anticipated that the new collaboration will enable Mallin Cos. to create synergies in order to maintain its competitiveness and leadership in the processing of insulated aluminum, aluminum conductor steel reinforced (ACSR), and underground residential distribution (URD) cables.
The fourth-generation family firm, Mallin Companies, has been in operation for almost a century. In Kansas City, Missouri, it runs two recycling lines for aluminum wire. Another family-run company that has been in business for nearly 20 years is GLE Scrap. In Florida and Michigan, it runs six full-service metal recycling facilities. It also operates an R2-certified electronics recycling company, an insulated copper wire recycling business, and a brokerage and trading section.
