Georgia-Pacific Announced Opening of Two New U.S. Facilities

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Leading pulp and paper company Georgia-Pacific announced official opening of new facilities in McDonough, Georgia and Jonestown, Pennsylvania. These new facilities will produce an innovative, recyclable paper padded mailer for e-commerce.

This is in addition to the recently added third production line at the company’s Phoenix-area plant. With the opening of the new facilities, Georgia-Pacific has more than tripled its capacity, thus helping the company to meet the ever growing demand for more sustainable e-commerce packaging options. It will make the company capable to serve additional e-commerce customers in addition to Amazon, to whom the company has been supplying recyclable mailers since 2020.
