SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The fire, which broke out at a North Haven scrap metal yard has been brought under control.
The incident took place in the Sims Metal Management facility at 234 Universal Drive early Tuesday morning. It was reported to the fire department by a passerby after seeing flames in the distance. Firefighters responded to the large fire, which according to them, involved debris piles, machinery and a building. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

Investigators said that they are working to determine as to what caused the separator machine to catch fire. It is assumed that the fire from the machine spread to scrap metal and the building. The extent of the damage is yet to be assesses they said. As per reports, no injuries were reported.
According to firefighters, this is not the first such fire incident at the site. They have battled out similar fire at the facility before and that they were prepard to get the fire under control quickly. Fire Chief Paul Januzewski said that the fire was not unlike the previous fires. However, this time it spread to separator building.
