ERI Leads NCSL Debate on ITAD and E-Waste Recycling

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): David Hirschler, Senior Director of Sustainability and Legislative Compliance at ERI- the nation’s leading ITAD service provider and e-waste recycler participated in the panel discussion on ITAD and electronics recycling best practices held last week during the National Conference of State Legislatures Foundation (NCSL) event at the JW Marriot in Indianapolis.

Apart from Hirschler, Jason Linnell, the Executive Director of the National Electronic Recycling Council and Mike Werner, Lead for Circular Economy at Google also participated in the discussion.

The discussions centered on the efforts undertaken by various U.S. states to manage disposal of electronic waste and the challenges faced. The participants of the event were provided a guided tour of ERI’s state-of-the-art ITAD services and e-waste recycling facility in Plainfield, Indiana.

John Shegerian, Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, ERI said that the company is honoured to have been asked by NCSL to share its process. The need for responsible ITAD, e-waste recycling and data destruction services will continue its growth in future, as people looks to get rid of their unwanted or outdated electronics in an environmentally responsible manner, he added.
