SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): Sunnking, which offers electronics recycling and resale in the Buffalo, Rochester, and Utica markets will remain open to provide recycling services, as well as computer sales and service. While the Governor’s NYS 100% workforce reduction mandate applies to both profit and non-profit employers, this week, the state had listed recycling as an “essential” business. This allows Sunnking to continue its operation and service the communities we call home.
Sunnking employs nearly 100 people, however, it has had to make necessary changes to its business practice to comply with the state orders. “Our teams have already adjusted how we operate in many ways to improve safety,” said Vice President Adam Shine. “We believe it makes sense to keep our operations running with several secure steps to safeguard not only the health and safety of our staff but our clients. While we’ve moved non-essential employees to remote work, we’re still 100% open for business and pickups will continue.”
