Thermal paper produced at Domtar's West Carrollton, Ohio, factory is the starting point for the receipt products that people use on a daily basis, according to Steve Henry, president of paper and packaging at Domtar. Customers will benefit from the operational and supply chain expertise that a fully integrated North American receipt paper company offers thanks to the purchase.
Domtar's dedication as an advocate for paper-based products and the long-term viability of the paper sector is demonstrated by the strategic acquisition. Iconex Paper was greeted by Henry as a member of the Domtar family. In the meanwhile, Iconex Paper's president, Mike Rapier, will remain in charge of the company.
The next chapter with Domtar will enable the company to explore new opportunities in the paper receipt production industry and provide better solutions for its customers, Henry added.
