SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Coca-Cola Philippines announced that its first-of-its-kind PET recycling facility in General Trias, Cavite has become fully operational. The world-class recycling facility, known as PETValue Philippines, houses advanced recycling technologies capable of processing up to 2 billion clear PET plastic bottles.
The facility will accept PET bottles of all brands from its partners and collection bins installed at various locations. The recycled PET resin from the facility will be used for making new bottles for packaging various Coca-Cola brands, thereby ensuring a circularity in operations. The facility, by giving new life to old PET bottles, aims to play a key role in the development of sustainable future of the Philippines.
