SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Kingsey Falls, Quebec-based Cascades, Inc. announced that it has won accolades for its fourth Sustainability Action Plan. It was declared winner in the Medium and Large Business category of the Prix initiatives circulaires presented by Québec Circulaire. The award recognizes best innovations in the province that accelerate the transition to the circular economy.
The company is one among the five prize-winners, who will now compete for the ultimate prize. The final winner will be based on voting, which will be open until October 17th.

In its fourth Sustainability Action Plan launched last spring, the company has announced an eco-design target, by which it aims to have 100% of the packaging manufactured and sold by the company to be recyclable, compostable or reusable by 2030. Quebec Circulaire recognized the Action plan as a catalyst for change in support of a circular business model.
