SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has partnered with Schneider Electric to boost smart manufacturing at its facilities. The strategic partnership will collaborate on developing advanced training facilities and programs in smart manufacturing.
Under the partnership program, Schneider Electric plans to design a state-of-the-art smart campus and training labs at its Ahmedabad, Gujrat campus in support of NAMTECH- the ongoing education initiative by AM/NS India. The campus aims to deliver high-quality engineering and technical education with special impetus on manufacturing and sustainability.
NAMTECH and Schneider Electric will develop short term as well as long term academic programs, a Professional Master’s Program in Smart Manufacturing and a Professional Technologist Program in Automation to start with.
Dilip Oommen, CEO, AM/NS India said that the partnership demonstrates the commitment to prepare young people for the digital era of manufacturing. Deepak Sharma, MD and CEO, Schneider Electric India noted that the partnership will empower individuals from various backgrounds with state-of-the-art digital skills.
