SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Luxembourg-based steelmaker ArcelorMittal announced that it has entered into a partnership with Link School of Business, Brazil to launch pioneering steel sector solutions, reinforcing its leadership position in the industry. The partnership will create a new business model in Metaverso, in connection with the operations of the company. The company has committed to an initial investment of R$1.2 million towards the innovative project.
As part of launch of the project, ArcelorMittal and Link hosted a live Youtube event on 15th June, 2022. A lecture on the impacts of the Metaverse on people and companies was delivered by Juan Pablo, CEO of AAA Inovacao. The session also discussed details about the new project, how to create new impact businesses within the company and for the world.
The steelmaker announced the launch of a new business development team, which comprises of six members- two professionals from the company and four students from Link. The team will be given extensive training in Brazil and the U.S. The team will be supported by Link, ArcelorMittal and Acolab- the steelmaker’s open innovation laboratory.
ArcelorMittal has been partnering with Link since past one year in training executives and carrying out various innovation projects.
