SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Aqua Metals announced that it has reached an agreement to deploy and license its proprietary Aqua Refining equipment for battery recycling at Taiwan-based ACME Metal Enterprises’ Keelung facility. The two parties have reportedly signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to this effect.
The LoI allows 60 days for the parties to reach a definitive agreement towards phased deployment of the innovative battery recycling technology. As per the LoI, the two companies will partner to process Aquarefined briquettes into battery ready oxide material by joining hands with a reputed battery manufacturer, whose name will be disclosed later. The Aquarefining technology will produce ultra-high purity briquettes, which will be used in oxide production.
