SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The weekly price trends of scrap aluminium across worldwide markets for the period from 8th to 14th March, 2024 on the Scrap Monster Price Index are provided below:
The prices, in general, remained unchanged from the week before. However, a few categories recorded marginal surge over their previous week’s prices.
Al/Cu Radiators/Fe recorded biggest surge in prices over the week, edging higher by 1.6% from $1.25 per Lb to $1.27 per Lb. The prices of Al/Cu Radiators too recorded marginal increase by 1.37%, edging higher from $1.46 per Lb to $1.48 per Lb.

Meantime, all other aluminum scrap categories held on to their prices over the week.
Al/Cu Radiators/Fe posted biggest increase in prices over the week, edging higher by 1.6% from $1.25 per Lb to $1.27 per Lb. The prices of Al/Cu Radiators too recorded marginal increase by 1.37%, edging higher from $1.46 per Lb to $1.48 per Lb.
The scrap aluminium categories that recorded no change over the prior week included 6063 Extrusions, Aluminum Radiators, E.C. Aluminum Wire, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap and 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean).
Also, 5052 Scrap, 6061 Extrusions, 6063 Extrusions/Fe, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery Chrome Wheels and Mixed Aluminum Turnings were flat on Index.
The prices of MLC Clips, Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC and Zorba 90% NF held steady when compared with the previous week.
The aluminium scrap prices in the region mostly remained flat over the previous week. The only two scrap categories to witness jump in prices were Al/Cu Radiators/Fe and Al/Cu Radiators.
Al/Cu Radiators/Fe recorded biggest surge in prices over the week, edging higher by 1.63% from $1.23 per Lb to $1.25 per Lb. The prices of Al/Cu Radiators too recorded marginal increase by 1.39%, edging higher from $1.44 per Lb to $1.46 per Lb.

Al/Cu Radiators/Fe posted biggest increase in prices over the week, edging higher by 1.57% from $1.27 per Lb to $1.29 per Lb. The prices of Al/Cu Radiators too recorded marginal increase by 1.35%, edging higher from $1.48 per Lb to $1.50 per Lb.
The scrap aluminium categories that recorded no change over the prior week included 6063 Extrusions, Aluminum Radiators, E.C. Aluminum Wire, Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap and 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean).
The variation in Painted Siding scrap over the previous week is shown below:
Also, 5052 Scrap, 6061 Extrusions, 6063 Extrusions/Fe, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers, Breakage 50% Recovery Chrome Wheels and Mixed Aluminum Turnings were flat on Index.

Also, E.C. Aluminum Wire, Aluminum Ingots, Aluminum Transformers, Aluminum Radiators and Zorba 90% NF prices too were flat upon comparison with the previous week.

The Aluminum ingots increased by 0.49% week-on-week from INR 203,000 per Ton to INR 204,000 per Ton.

The prices of Aluminum utensil scrap too were up by INR 1,000 per Ton to close at INR 195,000 per Ton during the week ended 14th March, 2023.
The prices of all aluminium scrap categories (Aluminum Cuttings, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Old Cast and UBC) held steady during the week.
Meantime, the closing price of LME Aluminum 3-Month contract stood at USD 2,255.00 per tonne as on 14th March, 2024. The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract inched lower from $2,224.00 a day before to $2,205.00 per tonne.
The LME Aluminum stocks surged over the previous day to close at 573,275 tonnes on 14th March, 2024, as compared with 572,925 tonnes on 13th March, 2024.
