Alcoa Added New Members to its Executive Leadership Team

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Alcoa Corporation announced appointment of two new members to its executive leadership team. The company appointed a Chief Commercial Officer and a Chief Strategy Officer, who will directly report to Alcoa President and CEO Roy Harvey.

The company press release said that Renato Bacchi has been promoted to the post of Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, effective 1st February, 2022. He is currently Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Treasurer. He will oversee global strategy, corporate and business development, energy, non-operated joint ventures, and the Company’s transformation business.

Also, Kelly Thomas will join the company on February 14, 2022, as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. She will lead all commercial strategies across Alcoa’s global bauxite, alumina and aluminum markets. She will have overall responsibility for sales, procurement, marketing, and supply chain.

Harvey noted that the appointment of the two experienced aluminum industry professionals to its Executive Leadership team will help the company to advance its strategic priorities and boost its efforts to reinvent the aluminum industry for a sustainable future, he added.
