25th January, 2024-North American Copper Scrap Prices Dipped on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices remained mostly unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on January 25^th, Thursday. Stainless Steel, Brass/Bronze and Aluminum scrap prices witnessed no change on Index. Copper scrap prices registered marginal decline, while Steel scrap prices witnessed mixed trend on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing declined by $0.01 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.01 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright edged lower by $ 0.01 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices witnessed no change on Index over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too remained flat. #3 Copper-Light copper prices inched lower by $0.01 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap were flat on Index.

Copper Transformer Scrap remained unchanged.

Cu Yokes prices reported no change over the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe remained stable on January 25th, 2024.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater Cores prices held steady over the day.

Romex Wire prices were flat on Index.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights reported no change from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were flat on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the prior day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained unchanged over the day. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on January 25^th, 2024.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices were flat on Index.

Chrome Wheels, Litho Sheets and MLC Clips held steady at previous day price levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC witnessed no change over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held flat.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle and #1 Busheling prices were down by $15 per MT each on Index.

The prices of #1 HMS surged higher by $10 per MT on January 25^th, 2024.

HMS 80/20 prices were down by $5 per MT on Index.

Sheet Metal and Shredded Auto Scrap prices recorded decline by $5 each over the prior day.

Structural Steel prices were up by $10 per MT when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices held steady on Index.

301 SS, 304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices were flat over the previous day.

309 SS and 310 SS prices registered no change on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were unchanged from the prior day on 25^th January, 2024.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained flat on Index.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region witnessed no change on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices were unchanged on Thursday, January 25^th, 2024.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices too recorded no change on Index.
