17th July, 2023-North American Scrap Metal Prices Posted Decline on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices tumbled on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on July 17^th, Monday. Brass, Bronze and Copper scrap prices declined on Index. Aluminum and Steel scrap prices recorded no change over the previous day. Meantime, Stainless Steel scrap prices declined on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap witnessed no change on Index. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing  and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were down by $0.08 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright too dropped by $0.08 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery were down by $0.01 per Lb over the day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too dropped by $0.01 per Lb on Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices tumbled by $0.08 per Lb from previous day’s level.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap witnessed downmove by $0.02 per Lb from previous day’s levels. Copper Transformer Scrap and CuYokes prices were unchanged over the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiator Ends and Cu/Al Radiators prices were flat over the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators/Fe witnessed a dip by $0.01 per Lb on July 17^th, 2023.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices were down by $0.01 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb respectively on Index.

The price of Romex Wire dropped by $0.01 per Lb during the day.     

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights recorded no change from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were steady on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on July 17th, 2023.

Chrome Wheels remained flat on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices held steady over the previous day.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed no change from previous day’s levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat over the previous day.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too witnessed no change on July 17th, 2023.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also reported no change in prices in comparison with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were flat on Index.

301 SS, 304 SS Solid, 304 SS Turning and 309 SS prices witnessed decline by $0.01 per Lb each in prices on July 17^th, 2023.

310 SS prices were down by $0.02 per Lb on a daily basis.

330 SS prices declined by $0.03 per Lb when compared with the prior day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too recorded decline by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region declined on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices dropped by $0.02 per Lb each on Monday, July 17^th, 2023.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices were unchanged on Index.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices tumbled by $0.02 per Lb each.
