A513 or A500 Grade B Rectangle Steel Tube

A513 or A500 Grade B Rectangle Steel Tube

A513 or A500 Grade B Rectangle Steel Tube Characteristics

A513 or A500 Grade B Rectangle Steel Tube, is a welded structural steel tube with a internal weld seam present. Available in A513 or A500 Grade B depending on its size and wall thickness, Rectangle Steel Tube is widely used in industrial maintenance, agricultural implements, transportation equipment, ornamental, etc. Rectangular HSS are also commonly called tube steel or structural tubing.

The range from 0.80 MM to 1.20 MM to maximum of 4.00 MM to 6.00 MM wall thickness for Rectangular Hollow Sections. Rectangular steel tubes are used in different industrial applications. These are used for accomplishing different purposes. The common areas, where these rectangular tubes are used are: supermarket racks, container fabrication, auto fabrication, motor cycles, doors and windows, industrial plant structure, bicycles, furniture etc.

  • Specifications: ASTM A513, ASTM A500 Grade B
  • Applications:Roll cages, Truck racks, Trailers, Railings,Tower foundation,Tower crane,Container frame,Expressway safety guard,Steel construction,Machinery,Agricultural canopy,Greenhouses etc.
  • Workability: Easy to Weld, Cut, Form and Machine
  • Mechanical Properties: Brinell = 63, Tensile = 58,000 +/-,  Yield = 46,000 +/-

There are several guidelines for defining the rectangular tubes. These guidelines are length, width, height, welding gap, radius, diameter etc. According to the nature of the requirements, the size of the rectangular steel tubes can be altered. The thinner or the slimmer tubes are used for developing structures and frames.

Due to its versatility the rectangular tubes are commonly used in various segments. The rectangular steel tubing needs to be constructed in an assembled way for rigidity. Nowadays for a better rigidity, a rectangular steel tubing are mixed or bonded with fiberglass.

  • STRUCTURAL ASTMA500-GRADE B (UNS K03000) cold formed, electric resistance welded tubing. Has a high strength-to-weight ratio, is relatively low in cost and is easily welded, formed, punched and drilled. The hollow shape offers good appearance and ease of maintenance. OD flash removed on all sizes. ID is flash-in.
  • ASTM A513 Type 1 tube is produced from low carbon steel. Typically available in hot rolled black, hot rolled, P&O. Tubing with walls heavier than 18ga are produced from hot rolled steel. A513 Type 1 is produced to closer dimensional tolerances than A500.
  • Produced as A-513, Type 1 and 2 in the as welded condition and furnished in 1008 to 1015 steel, it is the lowest cost mechanical tubing available. Wall thickness 18 gauge and lighter are produced from cold rolled steel. Heavier than 18 gauge is produced from hot rolled steel.

Feature of Rectangular Steel Tube:

  • Excellent equipment
  • Capacity of producing high accurate
  • Heat treatment technical equipment
  • Strict quality management
  • Strong technology and development
