* Maintain existing customer base, developing and acquiring new profitable business for the Company in order to increase revenue and ensures that organizational services consistently meet client needs. * Responsible for maintaining good business contacts and favorable relations with current customers (scrap dealers, peddlers, and other suppliers) to assure meeting plant requirements for non-ferrous scrap and for generating new business promoting our services through various means. * Acquiring new customers through intelligent, consistent, and tenacious prospecting. * Independent judgment, initiative, creative thinking, and an entrepreneurial drive are needed to successfully accomplish set goals * Gathers appropriate information about the local market for raw material concerning cost trends and availability of supply. * Assists in developing strategic plans for new business such as different sources of raw material. * Interacts with the Operations Department concerning the grading by quality of non-ferrous scrap delivered to the plant. * Requires considerable contact with suppliers, industrial accounts and scrap dealers in person and by telephone to negotiate purchases of raw scrap and to assure timely deliveries.
