The Director is responsible to direct, manage, supervise and coordinate the programs and activities of the District and to ensure precise, cost-effective and efficient operations of the District's activities and programs.   The Director is a salaried, full-time, senior-level, professional, exempt position.   He/she is selected by the District's Board of Directors and reports to and serves at the pleasure of the Board.   The Director will be required to reside in Lake County, Indiana.

The Executive Director must possess, at a minimum, a Bachelor's Degree plus 10 years' professional experience in the public and/or private sectors in which the candidate has demonstrated success in working with a board of directors, leading employees, preparing and managing budgets and interacting with the public, government agencies and the news media.
