The Opportunity

We are looking for a Truck Shop Mechanic to join the Rio Tinto Mobile Maintenance team to service, troubleshoot and repair heavy mining equipment in a safe manner.

What the role entails

This role is a great opportunity to work on large mining equipment with a talented team of experienced mechanics. Working and reporting to the Supervisor, you will be:

• performing quality preventative maintenance inspections on all mobile equipment
• diagnosing mechanical and electrical malfunctions on all mobile equipment
• making quality repairs to maximize runtime on equipment and limit breakdowns
• keeping records of repairs and record essential information on work orders
• maintaining a clean and organized work area
• performing all work safely
