The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to lead the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of state-of-the-art, high-speed manufacturing systems including PLC controlled product lines, converting machines, AC/DC motors, control systems, vision systems and electrical instrumentation throughout their plant.

From our location in Boron, California we supply refined borates which are key ingredients in fiberglass, glass, ceramics, fertilisers, wood preservatives and many other products.

What the role entails

This role is a great opportunity to work with a collaborative team and continue your development as a skilled electrical engineer in a fast paced and challenging work environment. Working a 5 days on, 2 off roster and reporting to the Superintendent, Engineering& Controls, you will be:

• Providing leadership to the Engineering and Controls group working in a team environment
• Providing input to control strategies for alterations and additions to plant processes, participate in commissioning and optimization on control processes
• Evaluating plant operations and work with personnel in determining automation process requirements and enhancements
• Developing the electrical plans and specifications for small to medium sized and complex projects with minimal supervision
• Offering engineering support to facility operations personnel in troubleshooting existing electrical equipment installations and in starting up new ones
• Providing engineering support for the design, operation, and troubleshooting of all the facility electrical components and systems
