Project Engineering

Define scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables for capital improvements and special projects throughout existing Energy Services facilities. Assemble project teams which could include developing specifications and/or process logic for various disciplines to be contracted for the engineering and design of projects. Evaluate and stay current with technologies to be used for the collection, processing and beneficial use of landfill gas.

Project Construction Management

Manage construction efforts to ensure projects meet design, budget, schedule, quality, environmental compliance, logistics and project partner expectations. Primary responsibility for contractor bidding and project procurement. This will include developing (with team members) project procurement plan to be integrating with the project schedule. Continuously monitor and update as needed.

Project Quality

Visit project and operational job sites regularly and inspect all work to assure compliance with plans and specifications. Maintain timely communication with project stakeholders and update as-built documentation.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

7 – 10 years construction and engineering experience required.
3 – 5 years of management experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline preferred.

SKILLS

Must be able to critically think, trouble-shoot and problem solve in industrial and construction situations and to implement technically complex solutions in a timely cost effective manner. The ability to apply thermodynamic, hydraulic and combustion principals in practical situations is fundamental to job success.
Very good written, verbal, listening and presentation skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
CAD, spreadsheet, word processing, web, and other software skills
Assertive, self-motivated, well-organized with ability to prioritize activities and set goals.
Decision-making skills and ability to take responsibility for work outcomes and results.
Ability to work under time constraints and after hours
