High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. 1-3 years experienced in with or scale operation preferred. Basic math and computer skills necessary. Will learn how to operate industrial truck scale. Ability to learn different types of scrap metal. Excellent phone etiquette to deal with customers.

 

• Responsible for the accuracy of all weighing. • Customers: Enter the correct material codes for scrap and cars received. Pay customer correctly using ATM or check. • Be able to identify a Po customer and a non Po customer. • Responsible for reviewing Key Scale Reports every morning. • Responsible for the end of the day reports. • Responsible for processing and receiving transfers. • Responsible for retiring titles with the State of Illinois. • Responsible for entering data into Combined Scale Logs. • Responsible for sending Po customer tickets to A/P Department. • Responsible for filing away paperwork on a daily basis. • Responsible for filing sales tickets to the N drive on a daily basis. • Responsible for providing the best customer services to each customer.
