The Opportunity

We are looking for a Maintenance Planner Crushers 1& 2 to join the Ore Delivery Systems team, to contribute to the areas safety performance, and drive asset reliability through planning and scheduling maintenance of key production systems.

With operations in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador as well as port facilities in Sept-Îles Quebec; The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) is a leading producer of iron ore. Operating over 400 kilometers of railroad that link mine to port, the IOC export pellet and concentrate to customers in North America, Europe and Asia.

What the role entails

This role is a great opportunity to be accountable for the efficient planning, estimating and scheduling of all maintenance work for the ATO crusher systems. Working a 5 days on, 2 off roster and reporting to the Acting Superintendent of Planning - ODS, you will be:

• Promoting a culture that visibly demonstrates site safety standards and IOC’s mission and values
• Managing maintenance backlog work to ensure it is prioritized effectively
• Developing work schedules for review with area operations, execution, and reliability teams
• Preparing detailed job packages for the maintenance execution team
• Approving maintenance planning work each week prior to scheduling process
• Scheduling shipping of repairable items and track them until they return to site
• Tracking long lead time parts orders
• Working with shutdown management team for large scale shutdowns in your area
• Driving asset reliability through the implementation of various improvement initiatives
