Position Summary:
Directs and coordinates activities concerned with repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
Ensures equipment is compliant with all required safety standards.
Oversees maintenance crew and directs for successful project and task completion.
Supervises and coordinates activities of associates engaged in setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment.
Observes mechanical devices in operation and trouble shoots to locate causes of trouble.
Directs Maintenance Technicians engaged in repairing and maintaining parts of equipment and machines.
Supervises the installation and maintenance of blow molders, dryers, compressors, labelers, palletizers, and other manufacturing machinery (depending on assigned work area—equipment specific to department).
Coordinates activities of Maintenance Technicians engaged in installation of machinery and equipment.
Directs associates in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment based on observation of machinery and applying knowledge from past experience.
Directs Maintenance Technicians engaged in dismantling, assembling and installing manufacturing machinery.
Ensures safety procedures are being followed.
Ensures quality of work done by maintenance technicians.
Drives mechanical improvements
Initiate action(s) for food safety issues and report the issue(s) and action(s) taken to a member of the Food Safety Team.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong supervisory and inter-personal skills verifiable through references.
Ability to interpret and enforce safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
Ability to write and review routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Ability to furnish instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Essential Functions:
Able to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
Ability to reach, bend and move around facility
Able to work on aerial platforms up to 20 ft.

We Reuse Our Own Recycled Materials
