The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Process-Metallurgical-Mineral Processing Engineer who possesses strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to join our Growth & Innovation team to aid with technological advancement projects as well as provide informal guidance to less experienced team members.

What the role entails

This role is a great opportunity to contribute to the organization’s safety and profitability while developing as a technical expert. Reporting to the Superintendent – Process Engineering you will:

• Support the health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) programs participating in their implementation, maintenance and enforcement as well as compliance with corporate programs and policies
• Lead initiatives or task forces from initial to final stage in order to ensure that systems perform as designed and are safe, conceptually and operationally
• Utilize both problem solving/project leading tools and soft skills to facilitate working sessions with colleagues.
• Solve problems of great complexity related to own sector of activity, taking into account the global business context
• Analyse operating procedures, process data trends, and equipment unit operation functions to optimize the process
• Act as a credible technical resource across site
• Coach and transfer technical expertise to colleagues.
