The opportunity

We are looking for a (an) electrical planner for the plant powders that can take responsibility for the detailed planning of the electrical department of the factory in strict accordance with the maintenance management process and different maintenance strategies of assets.

In service for over 60 years, Rio Tinto Iron and Titanium (RTFT) extract ilmenite deposits in hard rock or accumulations in ancient beach sands. RTFT offers exciting career opportunities in the open pit, the metallurgical complex and its port facilities in Quebec.

Job Functions

This position provides an excellent opportunity to cooperate in the planning of major stops and oversee various technical issues and follow up with contractors. You will also occasionally supervising unionized employees. You will work on a schedule of 5 working days, 2 days off and will report to the Superintendent, you will have the following tasks:

• Plan weekly electrical maintenance of the plant.
• Respect the work management processes and best maintenance practices active.
• Ensure compliance of the objectives of availability of equipment and production targets.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards related to planned maintenance tasks.
• Act as support and collaborate on various technical projects and other initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with budgets connected to the electrical department.
• Work closely with various customers and internal employees.
• Create and perform the update of preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Provide role falls to the supervisor during absences.
