Zimmerman Metals is a privately owned 3rd generation family business which began in 1936 by founder William George Zimmerman (Bill).  Today, Zimmerman Metals is a team of 100 people on 10 acres of land in a 150,000 square foot shop, all striving to meet your metalworking needs. We are centrally located in the Denver area, near the I-70 and I-25 interchange. Zimmerman Metals is the most automated steel fabricator in Colorado. Our equipment lowers the shop hours required while producing more accurate parts. All of the equipment is shared and amortized among four separate businesses within our company.

Structural Steel Division

The Structural Division provides budgeting, design, BIM and LEED assistance across disciplines of detailing, fabrication and erection. The product divisions we provide include structural steel, miscellaneous steel, metal deck, steel joists and steel stairs. We focus on projects ranging from 25,000 square feet up to 1,000,000 square feet and 100 tons up to 10,000 tons.

Procession Division

The Processing Division specializes in a range of jobs from plate cutting and forming to machining operations to complete product delivery in industrial manufacturing. The services we provide include on-site consulting, estimating, project management, detailing, fabrication, painting and erection. We focus on high quality and fast turn-around time, with our jobs ranging from a few hundred dollars to several million and on quantities of one to several thousand.

Machining Division

The Machining Division resides in a 25,000 square foot air-conditioned and crane-served area, adjacent to Zimmerman’s heavy fabrication shop, complete with a staff that works side by side with machinists as jobs flow through the shop. We are a one-stop shop, providing estimating, management, quality assurance, machining fabrication, and coatings. We focus on work that takes advantage of our machining, fabrication and lifting capabilities, which are the largest in Colorado.

Roll Form Division

The Roll Form Division designs and manufactures high-end machines for Arched Buildings, Roofing and Downspouts. Our unique design eliminates the need for making adjustments when changing material types, gauges and widths. By using our patented independent cast polyurethane coated drive system and free wheeling 304 stainless steel forming rollers, you can produce a product virtually free of oil canning and quality that is unsurpassed in the industry. We focus on developing high quality, lasting machines to simplify on-site roll forming.
