Over 25 Years Of Ziems Recycling In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania - Our Story

• 2015 - Olaf Ziems, son of the company's founder Horst Ziems, takes over the management of the company

• 2010 - First ship loading in the port of Stralsund and export to a Turkish steelworks

• 2009 - Commissioning of a baling press for plastics and cardboard at the Malchin site

• 2008 - The installation of the Lindemann scrap shears (type: LIS 616-8) in Gnoien, which began in April

• 2007 - Opening of the branches in Malchin, Neuruppin and Prenzlau. The expansion increases the workforce to 81 employees.

• 2005 - Foundation of the first branch of Ziems Recycling GmbH at the Gnoien location; Further expansion of the service sector through on-site rail dismantling, wagon dismantling and the use of a mobile rail breaker

• 2003 - Joined the nationwide trade association "Federal Association of German Steel Recycling and Disposal Companies eV" (BDSV)

• By 2001 - expansion of the vehicle fleet, investments in handling units and entry into the service sector (demolition, dismantling and transport)

• 1998 - Certification of the company as a waste management company, approval for the commissioning of an old car recycling facility

• 1992 - Relocation of the company headquarters to Malchow

• 1991 - Development of the new handling facility in Malchow, expansion of trading activities in the areas of: gravel, fuels, broken concrete, wood and glass

• April 15, 1991 - Founding of the sole proprietorship "Metall * Glas * Auto Recycling" by Mr. Horst Ziems and his wife Erika Ziems in Waren / Müritz
