The ZhongDe Group consists of companies whose purpose is to develop, build and operate plants for the generation of energy from the recycling of household waste, industrial waste (including hazardous substances) and clinical waste, or to invest in such plants. Since 1996, the ZhongDe Group has set up nearly 200 waste disposal projects in mainland China.

ZhongDe is one of the best-known companies in China in the waste-to-energy sector for EPC and BOT projects as well as a manufacturer of waste incineration plants. As a general contractor for EPC projects, ZhongDe is responsible for the design, procurement, construction and installation of waste incineration plants using different technologies: pyrolysis and grate-burning plants, rotary kilns and fluidized bed incineration. As an investor in BOT projects, ZhongDe also acts as an operator of waste-to-energy systems.

The ZhongDe Group has been listed for public trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange via its parent company ZhongDe Waste Technology AG since 2007. The registered office of ZhongDe Waste Technology AG is in Frankfurt, Germany, and the operational headquarters are in Beijing, China.
