The main goal of the Company is to provide services within the scope of own tasks of the Commune and the City of Opole in the field of ongoing and continuous satisfaction of the needs of the local community. The main activity of Zakład Komunalny is public tasks related to municipal waste management. These tasks are performed in accordance with the waste management hierarchy contained in the EU Directive 2008/98 / EC by:

Conducting effective, pro-ecological recovery of as many raw materials as possible from the total mass of waste;

Submitting waste for disposal in a manner that meets all legal and environmental standards;

Safe storage of waste when it is not possible to manage it in any other way;

Operation of the landfill and installations in the most pro-environmental and safe way for local residents.

The company also carries out other tasks, including priority treatment of municipal services. These are, among others: administration of municipal cemeteries, paid parking zones and city markets; delivery and collection of containers and big-bags for waste; construction machinery rental; collection of rubble and construction waste, crushing of rubble and sale of aggregates; care and cleaning services; planting trees and shrubs; towing vehicles; construction services and investor's supervision; publishing of the city newspaper; rental and sale of advertising space
