Yeargin Miscellaneous Metals has been in business since 1972. We specialize in stairs, handrails, catwalks, mezzanines, ladders and structural steel, as well as metal buildings. Yeargin Miscellaneous Metals is capable of doing something as small as a dock stair, or a customized handrail job, to something as large as a structural building.

Equipped to Succeed

Our office staff includes estimators, an in-house drafting department, project managers, licensed general contractors, purchasing manager and an accounting department.

Yeargin Miscellaneous Metals CAD oriented drafting department is equipped with the latest AutoCAD releases, automated detailing software, Xerox 8830 Laser plotter and scanner, and runs on a Windows NT Network.

Our shop staff includes fabricators, certified welders, who mig, tig and stick weld, fitters and finishers. Yeargin Miscellaneous Metals shop facility is approximately 55,000 square feet with five three-ton overhead cranes. Housed in our shop are a 350 ton computer controlled press brake, a Controlled Automation computer-driven beam line punch, Buffalo angle and pipe rolling machine, a Blastec bead-blast machine which can bead blast steel up to four feet square by any length. Also housed in our shop is a Pearson shear, capable of shearing up to 1/2 in. plate, a grating band saw with a 40 in. wide cutting path, three Piranha Ironworkers, three Wallace Coast Pipe Benders, various other fabricating equipment and a fork lift.

The Yeargin Crews

Yeargin Miscellaneous Metals also has very capable erection crews, which are very experienced in erection of small and mid-sized jobs. These professionals enable us to manage each job from inception to completion. The erection crews work from a fully stocked utility truck. Our boom truck is also required on many jobs, as well as many lifts.

In addition, Yeargin Metals is also an American Buildings pre-manufactured metal building distributor and erector. Deliveries are made by our drivers using either a Peterbilt tractor with flat bed trailers or a flat bed truck with a gooseneck trailer.

Many of our employees in both the office and shop have been with the company in excess of fifteen years. Together we have over four hundred-fifty years of experience.

Yeargin Miscellaneous Metals scope of operation includes most of the eastern seaboard states, as well as many of the western states. We enjoy a comfortable business relationship with many customers, most of whom we have done business with for the past thirty years.
