The Yardsy Story

Jonathan Gillespie founded Yardsy in 2019 with a single truck, 15 years of turf management expertise, and a mission. What began with one man grew quickly, and word soon spread: there was a new company in town – grass whisperers – who took the frustration out of lawn care and redefined what professionalism, dedication and quality looked like. And with them came Skip, the company mascot, who entertained, informed and educated clients.

In 2021, Yardsy expanded its scope to offer services for all things outdoors: plant and tree healthcare, mosquito control, irrigation maintenance, and even high-quality firewood. The company continues to grow and now partners with landscapers, commercial property management companies and private homeowners all over Atlanta to dream bigger what’s possible when it comes to enjoying our outdoor spaces.

As the company has flourished, our Executive Team has grown as well. In addition to our founder Jonathan, Gillespie, Yardsy is led by Zach Coward, Operations Manager, Chris Daniels, Chief Agronomist, and Casey Turner, Chief People Officer.
