The Wyandot County Board of Commissioners established Wyandot County as a single county District on March 13, 1989 and the Wyandot County Solid Waste Management District was formed on April 27, 1989.  The Wyandot County Solid Waste Management District serves Wyandot County residents through the creation and implementation of the Wyandot County Solid Waste Management Plan.  The Wyandot County Solid Waste Management District operates the Wyandot County Recycling Center, provides local recycling drives and business routes, and supports local curbside recycling programs.

The Wyandot County Solid Waste Management District is dedicated to serving the residents of Wyandot County.  Along with providing information on solid waste activities for Wyandot County, we also support various recycling programs and provide educational presentations for audiences of all ages.  The Wyandot County Solid Waste Management District is very active within the community and relies heavily on public input and feedback to design our programs.  The Wyandot County Solid Waste Management District is committed to reducing landfill reliance and increasing recycling rates within Wyandot County.
