Winshear Gold Corp. (TSX-V:WINS), formerly Helio Resource Corp. is a Canadian based junior gold exploration company focused on its highly prospective Gaban Gold Project located in the Puno Orogenic Gold Belt in south eastern Peru. 

In January 2020, Helio Resource Corp. changed its name to Winshear Gold Corp. to reflect the new focus on the Gaban Gold Project and the Tinka I.O.C.G. project in Peru. 

In September 2019, Winshear completed the acquisition of the Gaban Gold and Tinka I.O.C.G. projects in Peru from Palamina Corp. (TSX-V:PA). The Gaban Gold Project, located in the Puno Orogenic Gold Belt in south eastern Peru, is appoximately 750km east-south east of Lima. The Gaban area is one of the possible bedrock sources of the alluvial gold being mined in the drainages at Gaban and also at the Madre De Dios alluvial gold fields (40kms north of Gaban).

Winshear completed 3 exploration campaigns between October and December of 2019. Results of the first campaign can be found here, results of the 2nd and 3rd campaign are pending and will be released when received. A surface rights study is also being completed in order to assist with drill planning and permitting.All technical information on this website has been reviewed and approved for disclosure by Mr. R. Winshear is also pursuing its rights to the SMP Gold Project in Tanzania. The Company was active in Tanzania since 2006, exploring and developing the SMP Gold Project. In 2017 the Tanzanian government changed the Mining Act whereby the Retention Licence classification, under which the SMP project was held, was abolished. In December 2019 the Tanzanian Government issued a Notice to Tender whereby new investors could bid for projects formerly held under Retention Licence. Winshear has served a Notice of Intent to submit a claim to arbitration under the Canada-Tanzania agreement for the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments (see Winshear news release dated January 10, 2020).
