William George (Deceased) Has been in business since the early 1950’s operating out of Blackborough End just outside of Kings Lynn. Not long after renting a piece of land to excavate, he soon picked up enough work to buy the land and operate his very own quarry, as time progressed so did he, expanding to other areas where he also excavated and produced aggregates. William or ‘Billy’ as he was known, employed local men and women to work as part of his growing team and eventually his wife Margaret and two sons Gary and Kevin came into the business along with Marie (Kevin’s wife) and in more recent years the addition of Jonny and Jack his Grandsons making this a truly successful family run business for years to come.

Over time there has been many ups and downs as there is with any business in any sector, but through it all the business is still operating and functioning as a quarry but unfortunately had downsized to just its core family members.

William sadly passed away in December 2016 which was a very sad time for the family and the clients he dealt with. However the family decided to try and do William proud and build on the foundations he made with his hard work over the years which led to a recent resurgence in 2017 where a new structure and working plan for the business was implemented and a new company was formed along with a new brand boasting the founders name ‘ William George sand & Gravel ltd’ which has led to the business thriving with renewed vigor and growth while still maintaining the close relationship and care with all its customers.

William George sand and Gravel limited is a family run business with a hard work ethic and dedication to customer satisfaction with each family member playing a key role.

Working together along with some self employed staff and lorry drivers the team work hard to carry on William’s name and try to build on the foundations that he laid.
