Whip Street Motors was founded by Geoff Baker in 1960. In 1962 the business moved to its current location in Great Whip Street, Ipswich.

The core business comprises ferrous and non-ferrous metal recycling, vehicle dismantling, vehicle disposal and the sale of new and used car spares. We also offer other forms of waste disposal such as skip hire and waste collection.

We specialise in ferrous and non-ferrous metal recycling and vehicle dismantling in and around Ipswich, Suffolk, East Anglia. If you have a vehicle that has reached the end of its useful life, or scrap metal which you wish to dispose of, we will be more than happy to assist you.

At our Bramford site, our 50 tonne electronic weighbridge will ensure your scrap metal is accurately weighed and paid for accordingly. We can purchase* your scrap metal and end of life complete vehicles (subject to terms) that you deliver to either our Bramford site or our site in Whip Street, Ipswich.

We can also offer a waste collection service in the way of skip hire, including roll on and roll off bins for larger quantities. Please feel free to take a look around our site.
