Western Resources Group, located in Ogallala, NE, has been the household recycling facility in the community since April of 2015. WRG is noted for taking the recycling circle to completion. In addition to collection and coordination of the household recycling, they have also developed a product for the farm and ranching community's animals. WRG shreds the corrugated cardboard collected into eco-friendly animal bedding. The product, which began shipping to customers in October, is a hit. “There has been an overwhelming response from the area for this product” said Kurtis Olsen, General Manager of WRG. “We have found the chickens, horses and hogs love our bedding, which is not only eco-friendly, but also it’s likely a healthier and cleaner alternative to what you currently use, and is especially good for horses with COPD or respiratory problems.”
