Westcoast Plastic Recycling was established in January 2008. Based in Richmond, BC. Westcoast's main objective is to provide a collection and recycling service for film and rigid plastics from western Canadian based industry. Once collected, the plastic is processed and shipped to North American and Overseas remanufacturers.

BBB accredited and the 2011 Consumer Choice Award Winners for "Best Recycling Centers and Services"​ in the Metro Vancouver area. Westcoast Plastic Recycling offers a free plastic recycling service, and is a waste management specialist. Westcoast services Vancouver, Richmond, Surrey, Coquitlam, Burnaby, langley, Delta, Abbotsford, and Port Coquitlam.

Plastic, which generally takes one thousand or more years to decompose, is one of the largest forms of pollution currently going into landfills because of the length of time is takes to break down. Westcoast is committed to its program in saving as much plastic as possible from going to the landfill and utilizing it for remanufacturing.
